Accreditation
Accrediting pharmacy programs ensures that graduates are ‘suitably trained and qualified’.
We accredit programs by reviewing them to confirm that they meet clear, evidence-based standards. This ensures that program graduates can practise pharmacy safely and effectively.
Over the last year we have been able to return to fully on-campus accreditation site visits without the disruption of previous years. We value being able to reconnect with pharmacy academics, students, graduates and practising pharmacists across Australia to work together to assure the quality of pharmacy education.
We are grateful for the support of the members of the profession who participate in our Accreditation Assessment Teams. We were able to add new individuals to our Assessor Register this year as part of our periodic Expression of Interest process. We provided online training to all our of new Assessors to guide them through their role.
“We encourage members of the profession to take up opportunities to be an assessor or a member of our Accreditation Committee. Feedback we have gathered from current assessors and committee members has told us they have enjoyed being able to make a contribution to pharmacy education and that they feel well supported.“
